anyone related to John Thurston, 1st lighthouse keeper at Bass Harbor lighthouse?

John Thurston, born July 1, 1800 in Rockport, ME and died Nov 25, 1865 was my 3x great grandfather and the 1st lighthouse keeper at the Bass Harbor Lighthouse in Tremont/Bass Harbor. I was able to get some information on him from the Coast Guard and would be willing to share. In fact--I will try to get them online for anyone interested but things are a liitle crazy now--son and wife and 2 and 4 yr old daughters and a 1 week old baby girl live with us til they find a house to buy (their's sold too quickly!!!) along with a 120 lb English Masiff so it takes me a little time to find things. A few minutes of genealogy here and there is the only thing that keeps me sane!! Barb
