My Mitchell was from Scotland, Jonathan Mitchell, who married Elizabeth  Umlach (which was the original name that Hemlow derived from).  Their son Walter Freeman Mitchell (1831-1915) married his widowed cousin, Isabella (Hemlow) McKinlay, daughter of Henry Hemlow and Hannah (Kennedy) Hemlow.  Walter Freeman Mitchell had sons James Edward; William; John Walter and James.  Only dates I've found for the siblings are John Walter Mitchell (1871-1965) and James (born abt 1873), and they aren't verified.

Welcome, Daniel!  What part of Nova Scotia are your ancestors from?  Surnames I'm seeking: Jewers, Mitchell, Umlach/Umloch/Umlah/Hemlow, Jung/Young, McDaniel, Kennedy, Pryde/Pride, and more

Use the keywords option in Advanced Search to search for surnames/locales listed by private sellers on these online sites.

Case in point, I found my great grandmother Watt's Bible online!
