In honor of the purchase by the State of Maine of 233 miles of
endangered railway track in northern Maine, I decided to research
Lorin Thompson Boynton of Ashland, Maine. From online
information, hopefully correct:
Lorin Thompson Boynton was born about 1857 in Maine, the son of
Joel and Jane Boynton, who were both born in New Brunswick, Canada.
Joel's father was Phyreus Boynton or Boyington, who was born
in Massachusetts. I'm not sure of the correct spelling of his
first name or last name, as I didn't find him in any other online
reference. I found a reference for an L. Boynton, in
Minnesota in the 1900 Census; he was born about 1856 in Maine.
But I'm not sure if it's our Lorin Thompson Boynton.
If you have any information on Lorin Thompson Boynton or his
family, please leave a comment in the comments box or contact me
directly.
