James Henward was born about 1888 in Maine, the son of Horace
and Seminah Henward of Nova Scotia. I believe his paternal
grandparents were Robert Nelson Henward and Lavinia (Greenough)
Henward. I don't have the maiden name or parents of
Seminah.
On 30 September 1905 James Henward married Carrie M. Lee, who
was born about 1890 in Maine.
James and Carrie had several children. Among them were
Alice and Dorothy, whose photographs are below in reprints of two
posts at the blog Heirlooms.Reunited.

Dorothy was born about 1909, and Alice about 1914. Alice
married Donald L. Curtis in 1939.
James Henward was the son of Horace Henward, born in Nova Scotia
and his wife Seminah. The Henward name appears in several
variations: Hennard, Henwood, etc. I haven't yet found out
the parents of Carrie M. Lee.

Eastport, Maine. Alice was decked out in finery, perhaps for
a wedding or Easter.
