Researching Downeast Maine and Maritime Canada Families Together
Grace Dean Capen was born 8 May 1876 at Pembroke, Maine, the daughter of David Ross Capen and his wife Sarah A. (Dean) Capen. Her paternal grandparents were John and Sarah Lydia (Leighton) Capen. I don't have the parents of Sarah A. Dean, who was born in Pembroke, Maine, in November of 1852.
On 17 Jan 1903 at Eastport, Maine, Grace Dean Capen married John Martin Bieler, who was born in Germany about 1873. His parents are named on his marriage license but they are very difficult to decipher: perhaps Conrad Muhlbaurn and Christina Bauselder. Perhaps Conrad's last name was Bieler but it was assumed and not mentioned.
Below are a reprint of a post at the blog Heirlooms Reunited and a family tree for Grace Dean Capen.
