Bible presented to George Albert Lowell by his mother Sarah (Smith) Lowell.
George Albert Lowell was born 6 May 1831 at Milltown, Calais, Maine, the son of Reuben and Sarah (Smith) Lowell, born in Buckfield, Maine, and Litchfield, Maine, respectively.
His paternal grandparents were Thomas and Judith (Farrar) Lowell.
His maternal grandparents were Joseph and Martha (Robinson) Smith.
On September 26, 1856, after a stint as a Forty-Niner in California with his brother Reuben, George married Sarah E. Hill at Calais, Maine.
Sarah E. (Hill) Lowell was born 3 November 1833 at Upper Mills, New Brunswick, the daughter of Horatio Nelson Hill and wife Phoebe Weston (Whitney) Hill, born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, and Jonesboro, Maine, respectively.
George Albert Lowell became a banker and City Treasurer of Calais, Maine.
George and Sarah E. (Hill) Lowell had six children:
