Frank Leslie Harmon was born in Maine on 1 January 1870, the son of Benjamin Franklin Harmon and his wife Eliza A. (Brand or Rand) Harmon. On 6 November 1897, at Morrill, Maine, Frank married Ella Florence Whitcomb, who was born 2 October 1877 at Waldo, Maine, the daughter of Roscoe E. and Eva Jane (Woodbury) Whitcomb. Frank and Ella had a son Elmer W. Harmon, who was born in October 1908 in Massachusetts. Frank was a letter carrier at Brockton, Massachusetts.
Ella W. Whitcomb signed a page in the autograph book of Bertha Clements of Waldo Center, Maine, in 1890.
