Carrie B. Calligan, born 1878 at Grand Lake Stream, Maine; m. George A. McDonald, b. 1872 Grand Lake Stream
Carrie B. Calligan was born in March of 1878 at Grand Lake Stream, Maine, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth "Lizzie" F. (Calligan) Calligan. Carrie's paternal grandparents were William Calligan or Callaghan and Sarah J. (Campbell) Calligan. Her maternal grandparents were Hollis and Rachel (Robinson) Calligan.

From online research, hopefully correct:
Carrie B. Calligan was born in March of 1878 at Grand Lake Stream, Maine, the daughter of Thomas Calligan, who was born in Calais, Maine on 15 June 1840, and his wife Elizabeth "Lizzie" F. (Calligan) Calligan, who was born 20 December, 1843 in Machiasport, Maine.
Carrie's paternal grandparents were William Calligan or Callaghan, born in Eastport, Maine, and his wife Sarah J. Campbell, born in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Her maternal grandparents were Hollis Calligan, who was born in Machias, Maine, and Rachel (Robinson) Calligan, who was born in Machiasport, Maine.
On 24 June 1903, Carrie B. Calligan married George B. McDonald, who was born in January of 1872 at Grand Lake Stream, Maine, the son of Augustine McDonald, born at St. Peter Lake, Prince Edward Island, and Harriet Dinsmore, born in Talmadge, Maine.
In the 1920 and 1930 Censuses, the couple was living in Calais, Maine, and had at least one child, a daughter, living with them. I haven't yet found them in the 1910 or 1911Census of the US or Canada.

Geo. A (Scotchie) MacDonald was born in Grand Lake Stream, Maine. He and his parents lived in the house on Water Street (now the Sprague House). It has been said that he was the first white child born in the village. I have a picture of him as does the GLS Hist. Society. His daughter was named Harriet after grandmother. She married Richard Pomeroy. They lived in Calais. Both are deceased. Scotchie worked for the lumber companies and in later years moved to Calais, Maine and worked for the City. I think on roads?
