Bernice E. Allen was born abt August 1872 in Maine, the daughter of Eben F. and Julia M. (Smith) Allen.
Her paternal grandparents were Henry and Leah (Jacobs) Allen. Her maternal grandparents were Robert Allen Smith and his wife Jane (Leighton) Smith.
In the 1910 Census of Columbia Falls, Maine, Bernice/Berniece was working as a retail merchant.
