Basil Boyne Shatford was born 24 December 1890 at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, the son of Hibbert Horatio Shatford and his wifeRachel Kezia (Garrison) Shatford. On 12 November 1917 he married Fannie Pearl Hubley.

Below are a photograph of Basil Boyne Shatford with his cousin Clarke Beresford Shatford and another young man, probably a relative. Clarke is the man in the middle, but I don't know which of the others is Basil.
