Researching Downeast Maine and Maritime Canada Families Together
Autograph album with dates ranging from the 1880s to 1919. It appears to have been started by one person and finished by another.
I believe it was started by Victoria Alice Prince and at some point was taken over by her niece, Alice Maude Prince, the daughter of her brother Henry Nice Prince.
There's also a page inscribed to Ella, who was likely Alice Maude Prince' sister Ella Audrey Prince.
Victoria Alice Prince was born about 1860 in New Brunswick, the daughter of James and Eliza Mabel (Nice) Prince. I found her in the 1861 Census of Salisbury, New Brunswick, and in the 1881 Census of Saint John, New Brunswick.
Alice Maude Prince was born about 1894 at Hardwood Ridge, New Brunswick, the daughter of Henry Nice Prince and wife Annie Lawrence (Eagers) Prince.
Her paternal grandparents were James and Eliza Mabel (Nice) Prince. Her maternal grandparents were Charles and Anne (Williams) Eagers, born in Northern Ireland and Wales, respectively.
Alice Maude Prince married George L. Poeton on 7 July 1926 at Fredericton, New Brunswick. George was born in Peabody, Massachusetts on 14 October 1894. Alice died at Peabody, Massachusetts in 1985.
Ella Audrey Prince was born 3 June 1899 at Linton, New Brunswick. My last record of her is in 1927 when she passed across the US border at Vanceboro, Maine.
